Education is essential for long-term social and economic wellbeing of individuals and societies. As
such, in every way that educators, investors, entrepreneurs, government and philanthropists plan
and execute, they are innovating towards a better future for all. Innovation is indeed valued as a
catalyst to progress, in managing threats (e.g. disconnect between education and employment,
schooling not translating into learning, lack of human capital), as well as seizing opportunities (e.g.
globalisation, future of work, advancements in technology).
A part of the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre’s (MaGIC) Social Impact Challenge Accelerator (SICA), the Educating the Future Challenge is to support Citrine Capital’s aim in sourcing and supporting impact-driven ventures in equipping the young generation with the right skills and knowledge fit for the future.
Winners from the Educating the Future Challenge will stand to receive a cash prize, mentorship from industry experts and exclusive invite to join an impact-focused accelerator for capacity building, network and funding opportunities.
